What to carry during day/night excursions?

Personal medical requirements and insect repellent
Traveling light is a good idea, one duffel bag, rucksack or haversack or a day pack, per person
Camera & film rolls (spare batteries for camera)
Flashlight and spare batteries
Swiss knife and bottle opener
Hat or soft cap
Gloves
Needle and thread
String or rope (in vehicle)
Jerry Can (for water and/or petrol)

What to wear?

Clothing w/Jungle environment colours such as beige, brown, khaki and olive green
Appropriate and comfortable safari clothes and sturdy shoes for easy walking is recommended
Heavy woolens for the winter and light woolen outerwear is advised for the summer months
Rain gear is essential for the monsoons

The climate? and birds!
Winter - October to March
The days are nice and crisp, and nights get cold. Great season for bird watching and snow capped mountain views

Summer - April to June
Cool days with pleasant nights. Good birding season.

Monsoons - July to September
Cold days and nights. Good time for resident birds.
